Far Away

Far Away
by 周杰伦 Jay Chou ft. Fei Yu-Ching

(周 Jay)
The eaves like cliff edges, the wind bells like the deep blue sea
I'm waiting for the swallows to return
Time arranged to act out an unforeseen event
You quietly left
A story outside of the city
The thick fog isn't clearing, I'm unable to make out the dialogue
You can't hear
The missing sound of the wind is me sighing deeply
Awakening from a dream, who is at the windows, revealing the ending
That future as thin as a cicada's wings
It can't take being folded by anyone

(费 Fei)
I'll send you off, beyond a thousand miles
You in silent black and white
In this age of quietude perhaps we shouldn't love too distantly
I'll send you off, beyond the ends of the earth
Are you still there?
A sound of the piano coming from somewhere
Life and death are hard to guess at
Using an entire life to wait

(周 Jay)
Hearing the sound of crying from a forest
Searching for white pear flowers
Only seeing a path of moss
The sky beyond the mountains
The rain falling upon flowerbeds
Us two with graying hair at our temples
Hearing the sound of crying from a forest
Searching for white pear flowers
Only seeing a path of moss
The sky beyond the mountains
The rain falling upon flowerbeds
I'm waiting for you to come

(费 Fei)
Covered in the transparent dust of white glaze
Your love without flaws
You came from the middle of the rain
Sorrow changed by poetry
Now being soaked by it doesn't seem so bad

(周 Jay)
Plucking boats off the water surfaces and still their shadow remains
Yet you are not returning
Covered by the passing of years
The flower blooming that you talked about
The past has become white

Notes:
The only note here is a note to self to never translate one of  Vincent Fang's (方文山) songs ever again. The lyrics are pretty but omfg it's so full of flowery and archaic metaphors that it's way over my head. I searched up a section of the lyrics and the first result was a topic on a Chinese forum asking what it meant so at least I'm not alone.
